Our Story
“My Journey has always been walking alongside of the elderly”
I started working with the elderly when I was sixteen years old. My first experience was in a nursing home. Throughout the following years, I worked at other facilities and then I went on to pursue a nursing degree. Once I received my nursing degree, I still continued to work with the elderly. This is when I decided to start my own home care agency. I had such a passion for the elderly to be their advocate, therefore Caring Connection was formed. Over the past twelve years, my company has provided quality care to seniors in Harford and Baltimore County. During this time, I discovered many families could not afford 24 hour care, therefore they would need to be placed into an assisted living.
I have visited many assisted livings and they felt institutionalized to me. I wanted to create an environment where the elderly could enjoy the outdoors and a serene setting. A place to play cards with a friend or enjoy listening to someone play the piano. I enjoy listening to their stories because they have so much wisdom to share. I wanted them to know they still have a purpose even though may not be able to do the same things they use to. Utilize what makes them special. Listen to their stories, they have wisdom to share. I believe that each individual resident should have input in their care and be treated with respect. I will always strive not only to provide quality of care but improve their quality of life.
